Sean O’Brien completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He graduated with a B.S. in Political Science, with a minor in Cell and Molecular Biology. Sean earned his J.D., graduating with honors, from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2019.
While attending law school, Sean served as a Humphreys Law Fellow Research Assistant, a Peer Mentor to the Class of 2020, received the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award, and a Cali Award for his academic performance in Consumer Law. While Symposium Editor for the University of Memphis Law Review, his student note, The Highly Sensitive Person’s Redress for Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress: Utilizing Experts in the Courtroom, was published. His note was named Best Student Note Runner Up, an award recognizing the three most well-written student notes of the graduating class.
When not in the office, Sean volunteers with a local animal rescue and currently fosters dogs in need within the Memphis area.
